Acer pseudoplatanus, Fam. Aceraceae
A large deciduous tree, it lives to a great age and can reach a height of 30 m. The bark is initially grey, smooth and dull, but after 30-40 years it begins to break up, assuming pinkish colourings. The leaves have 5 serrated, pointed lobes and are borne by a long, reddish and grooved stalk. It is very common in the Park. It can be found in the wooded areas and in a row near the Cascina Cernuschi.
